CI-450 automatic cotton inserter

Overview

What it does

The CI-450 pulls cotton from a roll, cuts it to the set length and pushes the plug down into the neck of the bottle as it indexes past. The length is set on the touch screen, so moving from a 60 ml to a 250 ml bottle is a number rather than a tooling change. Sensors watch the bottle position, the cotton infeed and the refill level, and the machine holds the line rather than running dry. It shares the 850 mm conveyor height with the counter, desiccant inserter, capper and labeler.
